A Massive Thank You — We Ran Together, We Stood Together
What a day. What an incredible effort from everyone who showed up, got involved and helped make The 2.529 Initiative event such a huge success.

From everyone at CFM Functional Training, we want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to every single person who ran, walked, rode, supported, encouraged, donated or simply turned up to be part of something bigger than themselves.
This event was about community, movement and, most importantly, supporting an incredible cause. And together, we've now raised $3,224 for the Black Dog Institute.

$3,224 raised — and here's what that can do
The money raised isn't just a number. It has the potential to make a genuine difference to people's mental health.
Based on the impact of funds raised, $3,224 could help The Black Dog Institute provide:
158 school mental health presentations
99 presenter training courses
31 personalised mental health assessments.
Research aimed at preventing mental illness and suicide
That's an incredible impact from one community coming together.
Every kilometre, every step, every donation and every person who showed up helped contribute to something that reaches far beyond our gym.

The numbers tell the story… but the people made it happen
As a team, we covered an incredible:
30.348 km. That's 18.85 miles of combined running.
Around 40,000 steps on average. That's a serious amount of movement!
76 laps of an athletics track. Imagine lining up 76 laps — that's the distance we collectively put behind us.
184 lengths from goal to goal at the MCG. That's nearly two hundred trips across one of Australia's most iconic sporting grounds.
2.8 kWh of metabolic energy. Enough energy to power an LED light for approximately 70 hours.
But while those numbers are impressive, they don't really capture what made the day so special.
They don't capture the conversations, the laughs, the encouragement when someone was struggling, the people pushing themselves outside their comfort zones, or the incredible atmosphere created by everyone coming together.
Run Together. Stand Together.
A huge thank you goes to Lou and Matt, who put so much time and effort into organising such a successful event for an amazing cause.
And to everyone who took part — we could not be more proud.
Whether you completed the full challenge, joined for a few kilometres, walked alongside friends, rode, cheered from the sidelines or simply showed up to support the team, you played a part.
That's what community is all about.
One person taking a step is great.
A whole community taking those steps together is something else entirely.
More than just kilometres
Events like this remind us why we love what we do at CFM.
Functional training isn't just about getting fitter or stronger. It's about finding out what you're capable of, supporting the people around you and recognising that sometimes the biggest achievements happen when we work together.
And this was definitely a team effort.
30.348 km. 40,000 steps. 76 track laps. 184 MCG lengths. 2.8 kWh of energy. $3,224 raised.
Most importantly — one incredible community coming together to support mental health and suicide prevention.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We look forward to having this as an annual event so see you next year for an even bigger and better The 2.529 Initiative run!
RUN TOGETHER. STAND TOGETHER.
